Vinicius Jr Issues Sincere Sorry to Real Madrid Devotees
The attacker has netted five strikes in 10 domestic competition appearances so far this term.
The Madrid giants forward Vinicius Jr has expressed regret to the fanbase for his response when taken off in the recent intense El Clasico win.
The Brazilian was taken off in the 72nd minute and displayed his annoyance by going straight to the dressing room.
Vinicius subsequently came back to the bench and, after his club's 2-1 victory, attempted to approach Barça's Lamine Yamal during unsavoury post-match exchanges.
"Now I want to say sorry to all the supporters for my behavior when I was substituted in the derby," the player posted on his account.
"Similarly to I have already done during today's session, I also want to express regret anew to my team-mates, the organization, and the president.
"Sometimes emotion takes over me because I always want to triumph and support my side. My determined nature comes from the passion I have for this institution and everything it represents."
Vinicius signed for Madrid from Flamengo in recent years for a significant fee and has notched triple figures in numerous matches.
But his prospects in the La Liga is uncertain with rumors in recent months suggesting that Los Blancos would think about letting the player leave if they got a suitable offer.
When he was replaced on that day, broadcast footage from broadcaster Dazn picked him up saying: "Always me! I'm departing the side! It's preferable if I depart, I'm moving on."
In his latest post on social media, Vinicius stated: "I promise to keep fighting every second for the good of Real Madrid, as I have acted since the initial arrival."
